A Wonderful Saint
This book is inspiring. The now Blessed Anna Maria Taigi lived a life of heroic penance, poverty, charity and every other virtue all while not neglecting her duties as a house wife and a mother. The author does an excellent job looking into her heroic virtues, giving insight into her unique miraculous gifts and provides references to other sources from spiritual powerhouses (such as Father Faber) to either explain the Saint or to elaborate on her various perfections. It also takes the effort to dispel a lie that attacked the heroic virtue of the Saint (that unfortunately) is still alive today on some places on the internet.
I removed one star because the author would occasionally get to detoured from the Saint when talking about spirtual topics. Also, the author irritated me by his continual condescension toward her husband for acting like a "peasant" (while at the same time praising him for some of his virtues).
The Epub format does have various errors in it from the OCR job but I was still able to get through the book on my reader without too much difficulty.
If you read this book be prepared to be humbled by this meek matron of God and to find a model of penance and fidelity to duty. Blessed Anna Maria Taigi, pray for us!
